LGV C+E CLASS 1 DRIVER

DESCRIPTION

A Class 1 Driver to drive our MAN trucks and low loader trailers who is able to safely load and unload powered access equipment

Position: LGV C+E Class 1 Driver

THE JOB:

  • Delivering and collecting equipment
  • Loading and unloading machinery and equipment
  • Providing demonstration on delivery
  • Completing documentation
  • Operating Powered Access platforms when necessary
  • Basic condition checks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clean LGVC+E Class 1 Licence, CPC
  • 3 years Class 1 driving experience
  • Head for heights essential
  • Previous low loader experience desirable
  • Loading and unloading experience required
  • Experience specifically loading and unloading plant desirable
  • MEWP experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Thorough geographical knowledge of N Ireland essential
  • Experience driving throughout Ireland an advantage
  • Reasonable standard of education, common sense, good oral and written abilities

Job Title : Logistics Co-Ordinator

Reporting To:  Fleet Manager

Location:  Belfast Office

Main Function of Job

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Co-ordination of all plant & vehicle movements for all departments within the Company as required.
  • Communicating with drivers regarding their delivery & collection duties and issuing appropriate paperwork as necessary.
  • Liaising with drivers throughout the day regarding deliveries, collections and fuel.
  • Updating of transport diaries continuously throughout the day.
  • Liaising with customers regarding transport requirements & equipment notifications as necessary.
  • Processing Hire and Transport Documentation.
  • Keyholder duties may be required.

The criteria required:

  • Proven first class communication and precise organisational abilities are critical for this post.
  • Highly motivated individual capable of working on ones own initiative, but equally as part of a team ethos.
  • Proven confident telephone manner and administration skills a requirement.
  • A good standard of education with excellent oral and written abilities.
  • Experience of the Microsoft Office family of products essential.
  • Minimum two years experience using keyboard skills and practice in an office environment.
  • Previous experience working in hire industry an advantage
  • Previous experience working in a similarly busy transport department environment desirable.
  • Previous experience with regard to organizing the transportation of equipment desirable.
  • Good geographic knowledge of N.I and R.O.I is a requirement for this position.
  • Capable of working additional hours at short notice required.
